We recently visited Lewis and Harris looking at property and the following solicitors and estate agents were used along others found on Google.
You will find most very helpful and friendly and we did enjoy the Outer Hebrides, it is beautiful and still has that "wild" quality missing in mainland Britain. The trip across to the Outer Hebrides is by Ferry, from Ullapool, Oban and from other Islands such as Skye - the cheapest method is to get an island hopping ticket that allows you trips over a week or so at a set price. The Outer Hebrides now has cheaper ferry tickets due to a Scottish Government Initiative.

Sandy beaches are found throughout the Hebrides.
Throughout the Hebrides you will often find remnants of traditional crofts and crofting. The crofts on the west coast of Lewis has been preserved and renovated as tourist accommodation for visitors to the island, you can also visit the exhibits about this crofting community.
